Known for it's new and innovative use of concrete structures, the DL&W built this concrete station in 1912 to replace an old wooden structure.
The current wooden station just celebrated it's centennial and replaced a smaller wooden structure. A concrete switch tower is also still in place. RS-3's are seen leading a varnish car special past the station on Oct. 04, 2009.
Another wooden structure which was fully renovated and contains a museum. Passenger runs and celebrations occur here through Steamtown.
Home of a fine restaurant, the Dansbury Depot is fully restored and has live running model trains in the restaurant with a great view of the Pocono mainline. A wooden structure, sadly it recently was gutted by fire (Oct 09).
Station is in the process of being restored. Steamtown stops here once or twice a year for the town celebration.
Still alive and well, this wooden structure housed several businesses and is on the old DL&W mainline so NS trains pass here on the way to Slateford.
A beautifully restored wooden structure which houses a historical society museum with railroad and ice cutting exhibits.
Perched on the rise out of Scranton, this
restored brick station has regular train stops
from Steamtown.
This beautiful restored station/offices now contains a five star restaurant and hotel. Absolutely stunning interior and grand exterior architecture.
