Designs originating from the days of streamlining, they exhibit a smooth sided beauty not found on many modern diesel locomotives. Their characteristic rounded noses have become the icon for modern railroading. Built in the late 1940's and 1950's these amazing locomotives are still running in the 21st century.

After visiting New York and New England, the Norfolk Southern Office Car Special train runs south from New York toward Harrisburg, Pa.
Four beautifully restored locomotives lead a set of polished classic cars carrying the company executives.
The Bennett Pennsylvania E8 pair haul a long varnish car train to the 2007 Steamtown Railfest. Then this year they pulled a passenger car special over many miles through Pennsylvania.
The Reading FP7 pair is seen pulling a passenger consist down the Perkiomen branch. Next we follow the pair of FP7's on their journey to Steamtown along the Delaware River and then up the Pocono mainline.
Last but not least, the Lehigh F7 pulls a special event train on the Cape May Seashore Line in south Jersey. Classic cars, and other classic locomotives round out this historic run on a historic line.
