The Lehigh and Hudson River Railroad (LHRR) used Belvidere-Delaware tracks from Belvidere to Phillipsburg. Since this was a bridge line and the mainline railroads were above the Bel-Del, the LHRR left that trackage via a long curved bridge over the Delaware river to Easton, Pa and the mainlines. Now it is part of NS going to Hudson yard and the Portland and Bangor branch.

The Oldenwelder industrial branch
Phillipsburg-Easton had a high concentration of railroads and this branch had several owners over the years including the Central Jersey. It is now part of the Belvidere-Delaware and sees occasional service. This is a view looking west up the Lehigh to the bridge over the Lehigh River.
Morris Canal lock #1 remnant
Nestled below and between the three railroad bridges crossing between Easton,Pa and Phillipsburg,NJ is the remants of the first lock to a canal system that crossed New Jersey using many water powered incline planes due to the altitude changes it had to conquer.
Phillipsburg and the Suspension bridge
A recent view of the old railroad town with the very interesting strap suspension bridge (road not railroad) crossing the Delaware River to Easton. This is a rebuild of the bridge which was partially destroyed in the flood of 1955.
ex- Alpha Cement Plant
Located in Martins Creek, Pa near where the Bel-Del branch crosses the Delaware River to join the ex-DL&W Portland Bangor branch, Alpha Cement was one of the portland cement producers. The proper rock materials were in this region to produce portland cement and the railroads were the main transportation for these industries. Alpha cement was used in the Panama canal, the Key West bridge extensions of the Florida East Coast railroad, and many key military facilities. The facility appears to be owned by Con-Agra, a grain processing company, which has a large milling plant nearby that is currently receiving grain deliveries via Norfolk Southern Railroad.
From the old Lehigh and Hudson River Railroad bed, we see the DL&W concrete viaduct at Buttzville, NJ. They both crossed each other and the Pequest River at this point. The high line is the old mainline for the DL&W which was replaced by the now abandoned Jersey Cutoff circa 1911.

Grain Mill at Pocono Summit, Pa (partly in Mt. Pocono)
Started in the 1990's, the Harvest Grain Mill was designed around recieving shipments of raw grain using rail delivery. A large yard and additional outside siding means shipments of fify cars can be handled with no problem. Shipments of grain are brought to Taylor yard by Canadian Pacific railroad then the Delaware-Lackawanna railroad retrieves it from Taylor with it's team of Alco locomotives and transports the grain up the mountain to Pocono Summit. A captive GP switcher performs the internal unloading movements. The finished flour is transported to the customer using a fleet of tractor trailers and some smaller trucks.
